Haleigh Denise Deskins on her way to the University of Alabama

Dora High School Senior Miss Haleigh Denise Deskins has a promising future ahead of her. She is graduating in the top of her class of 2009. Her accomplishment and awards are a reflecting of her hard work and dedication her four years at Dora High Haleigh was honored to be chosen for the highest GPA in the Miss Dora High Pageant her Junior and Senior years. She was voted most likely to succeed, Beta Club president, secretary of her senior class, and the captain of the majorettes of the DHS marching Bulldog band. She received the Good Citizenship award, which was voted on by the faculty. The award represents qualities of a good citizen that is making a difference in the lives of others. She has received several scholarship from varies organization such as -

Senior Beta Club Scholarship

The Collegiate Scholar Scholarship from The University of Alabama

Haleigh has been accepted into the honors program of the University of Alabama majoring in Education. She plans to teacher secondary science. Haleigh has accomplished all these while working part time at Arby’s in Jasper.

Haleigh leaves behind the courage to each student at Dora high that will allow their dreams to make that final walk into life a reality. And that they can achieve all they want through dedication and hard work.
