Dora Splits a Pair With Vinemont by Joe Moon
The Dora Bulldogs were back in action on Friday, with a double-header at Vinemont. The Bulldogs looked real bad in the first game losing by the score of 6-1. The second game, however, was a well-played game. The Dawgs and Eagles had to play extra innings, after being tied 5-5 after 7 innings. The two team played defensive ball in the eighth inning. Then, Dora exploded with 3 runs in the top of the 9th inning and holding Vinemont to no runs in the bottom, therefore winning by the score of 8-5. Dora's overall record is (5-4) and (1-1) in region play. The Bulldogs next travel to Double Springs and face, in region play, the Winston County Yellow Jackets on Monday afternoon at 4:00 PM.
