Dora Mauls Vinemont by Joe Moon
The Dora Bulldogs were in a mauling state of mind on Tuesday night as they faced the Vinemont Eagles. First, though, the ninth graders faced Curry and lost the game by the score of 32-21. The next game was the JV Dogs, as they played Vinemont. They won in convincing fashion by the score of 53-27. The Varsity girls played next and gave a good fight to the Lady Eagles, but lost the game 48-35.
In the finale, the fighting Bulldogs faced the Eagles. It was close very early, but the just dominated for the rest of the game. The Bulldogs were lead in scoring by David Westbrook, who had 21 points. Dora wins in mauling fashion by the score of 77-31. The Bulldogs now have an overall record of (9-7) and they are (5-1) in region play.
Next up for the Dora Bulldogs is the Walker County Big Schools Tournament held at Curry High School. The tournament consists of Dora, Curry, Walker, and Carbon Hill. The tournament will start on Thursday and will last until Saturday. So, come to Curry and help your Dora Bulldogs win another Walker County title. GO DORA!!!!
